Paralyzed Man Can Move

After a car accident in 2006 that caused a Rob Summers to become paralyzed from the chest down researchers announced Thursday that Summers can now stand and take steps. All thanks to an experimental therapy to treat spinal cord injuries. "The study "opens up a huge opportunity to improve the daily functioning of these individuals ... but we have a long road ahead," study researcher Susan Harkema, of the University of Louisville, said in a statement."
