Miss World 2011 Pageant

 The Miss World 2011 was held in London this year.There were 124 contestants but of course, there could only be one winner. I'm sure it was very hard for all the judges because everyone looked and did wonderful. Venezuela was crowned Miss World 2011. The 1st runner up was Philippines and 2nd runner up being Puerto Rico.

50th Anniversary of Berlin Wall

 Today is the 50th Anniversary of the building of a wall that separated German's Capital on 1961. A video shows how the wall was made and looked. (Click here to see the video) Overnight families were separated, job opportunities in West Berlin was lost. For 28 years the Berlin Wall stood as a symbol of Cold War. Harry Potter

 After a decade of the Harry Potter series movies, it all ended today with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. With many predictions of the movie being off the charts so far it is conquering the box office.While reading a few reviews it seems like everyone's loving it. I have not seen it yet but if you saw it then please comment and tell us what you think about it, but please no spoilers!

Women's FIFA World Cup

   There sixteen teams competing for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. The World Cup is held for every four years. The first women's world cup tournament held in 1991 was named The Women's World Championship. This was 61 years after the first men's first FIFA World Cup tournament. This years tournament will be from June 26-July 17 in Germany

A year old!

The club has grew so much and I just can't believe that the club is now a year old! kutie_tata03 has just made a post in the clubs discussions saying she has a BIG announcement which she will say later. Bieble it or not

While vacationing with girlfriend, Selena Gomez, some paparazii got some pictures of the shirtless Bieber revealing some of his tattoos. He has one on his wrist of a tiny bird's head and the other on the side of his rebcage with the word "Yeshua" meaning Jesus in Hebrew.

We may not know why he got the tattoo but we might have a feeling that it has something to do with his visit to Israel in April. On Twitter he was storming about 'how the paparazzi wouldn't give him private time to properly engage with the holy sites.'

Amazing Graduates

"When nearly 450 Hillcrest High School graduates walk the stage next week, 10 of them will have the audience doing a double take." [WYFF Greenville]

In one high 5 sets of identical twins will be graduating together. Although they said they loved having their best friend beside them, 4 out of the 5 sets of twins will be separating for college next year. The other set of twins said they weren't ready to split so they will be attending the same college and are both plan on getting a major in biology.

American Idol Finale

As you all know the season 10 finale of American Idol ended Wednesday night while announcing the winner, 17-year-old Scotty McCreery with Lauren Alaina, 16, as the runner-up. The season finale of American Idol showed wonderful performances of various guest singers included a duet performed by Carrie Underwood and Lauren Alaina. I would say that American Idol was way better than what I expected it to be with all of the many changes including the new set of judges.

There has been much talk about the singers last performance but her performance last night during the Billboard Music Awards. Just to tell you how it was, look at the article here. It got a few giggles out me. :D

Paralyzed Man Can Move

After a car accident in 2006 that caused a Rob Summers to become paralyzed from the chest down researchers announced Thursday that Summers can now stand and take steps. All thanks to an experimental therapy to treat spinal cord injuries. "The study "opens up a huge opportunity to improve the daily functioning of these individuals ... but we have a long road ahead," study researcher Susan Harkema, of the University of Louisville, said in a statement."

Happy Mother's Day! Today is a day to celebrate and thank all mothers for what they have done. Even though it is one day out of year, in reality everyday you should thank your mother.

Cinco de Mayo

Today is Cinco de Mayo translated in english as the 5th of May is day celebrated in Mexico but it is also celebrated in the United States in a larger scale by Chicanos in U.S. The holiday celebrates the courage of the Mexican people during La Batalla de Puebla (The Battle of Puebla) on May 5, 1862. The "Batalla de Puebla" later became a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism.While there 4,500 Mexican soldiers under the command of General Ignacio Zaragosa defeated the 6,500 Mexican traitors and French Army at Puebla, Mexico.  The "Batalla de Puebla" later became a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism. Cinco de Mayo may be celebrated on a larger scale maybe because Chicanos celebrate this day in appreciation of its cultural and historical siginificance and Chicano hero, General Ignacio Zargosa was in Texas when it was still part of Mexico.

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress

  Sarah Burton designed the dress for Kate Middleton. When she was asked if she was designing it she said no only because she had to but since the secret has been out she is speaking about it and is very proud of the opportunity she had by saying that it was an 'experience of a lifetime'. Royal Wedding

The wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Westminster Abbey may be the grandest royal wedding yet since Prince Charles and Princess Diana. No wonder there are a lot of people camping outside of the Westminster Abbey. Although we don't exactly know what they're wearing to the wedding we do know who's on the guest list and who's not. On the guest list there is an estimate of 1,900 have been invited to the actual wedding and 600 to the lunch time reception. Since the couple has been receiving some threats the wedding has been on high alert, watching out for any suspicious activity. One of the guards for the big day has even been 'fired' for what you could say encouraging the threats. That should give you a hint that they're cracking down on these kind of situations.

Royal Wedding

Everyone is buzzing about the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William. The official wedding program or programme has been revealed, and starting 24 hours before the wedding people all over will be able to download the entire thing! The cover of the souvenir program features Prince William's Coat of Arms on the front and Middleton's new coat of arms on the back. In the inside of the program the wedding guests will be able to see a personal message of thanks from the couple to a never-before-seen photo of the royal pair taken by photographer Mario Testino. The wedding will be on April 29 inside the Westminster Abbey.

Japan

The earthquake and tsunami in Japan has caused a lot of devastation for the country. Since March 11 when the natural disasters hit, grocery stores are now without food, and radiation from exploded nuclear plants. Hundreds and thousands of people are either missing or dead. It's so sad to hear about these inspiring stories and seeing the videos of people talking about their loved ones that floated away from them. Somebody's In Trouble

As you all know by now Lindsay Lohan was allegedly caught stealing a $2,500 necklace. A surveillance video allegedly shows Lohan stealing the necklace but stills from the video show Lohan walking around the store and trying on jewelry. So far, Loahn, 24, faces a grand theft charge for allegedly walking way with the necklace form Kamofie & Co., a store in Venice, California. Lohan has said that is was all a mistake and that she thought she could borrow the necklace.

Live Chat with Emily Osment

Feb 26 was a very important date for many stardolls. That was the day Emily Osment came to the Stardoll world. She was interviewed by Stardolls from all over the world. Not every ones questions got answered but she answered ALOT. She was interviewed for one hour. For many people that was the coolest hour of there life. Emily answered questions like team Edward or Jacob and she took team Edward. She also got asked if she liked Justin Biber and she said yes.
About half the questions she got asked was has she ever been here or there. If you missed the chat do not worry. You can still watch it. It just is not live anymore. And you cannot get any of your questions answered but it still is fun. I learned alot about her and I bet many other people did too.

A Somewhat Miracle

Thanks to Twitter a homeless man from NYC met his long lost daughter. I know, it sounds crazy! But, thanks to something called “Unheard in New York” gifting Morales, a homeless man, with a prepaid cell phone and his very own twitter account, Morales was able to receive a call out of the blue from his long lost daughter, Sarah, just before he was to be interviewed by CNN En Espanol. Thanks to technology and father and daughter were reunited after 11 years of separation.

 It's a holiday in the USA. Kids across America are out of school today due to a special holiday called President;s Day. This holiday honors all presidents of the U.S. Before this became a national holiday George Washington's birthday ( was celebrates separately. While Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, his birthday was not formally observed until months after he was assassinated. Although his birthday was never made into a nation holiday, some states have observed it. President's Day wasn't made into a holiday until the year of 1971, President Richard Nixon decided to combine Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday. The day is now celebrated on the third Monday in February.

Vacation

 Me as the club owner of the club Magazines-Rule will be out for the rest of the week. I may be able to get on the computer but it won't be for awhile. So the managers are in charge!

Trusting Technology

 The one thing you don't want to do while being on your laptop is playing with the power with the power button. Believe me, been there done that, not going to happen again. I was making a graphic and I was just about done. All of a sudden th screen went black! You wouldn't believe the disappointment I was feeling. It was the best graphic I had ever made! It took me four days to work on it. Well I better get back to work.

At the end of the 2010 year, Vogue Magazine had people vote to see who they thought was the best-dressed woman of the year. And many ladies got a decent amount of votes. However, Lady Gaga received an overwhelming landslide of votes. She received top prize and is now the March cover girl. Gaga has had some great and let’s not forget unpredictable red carpet moments from the stark and carnivorous to the red dress fit for a queen. Congrats to Lady Gaga for her creativity and confidence to pull of her many wonderful looks.
